EXPERIMENT 001 · 5 SEPTEMBER 2026

From references to an interactive aircraft.

AI AVIATION explores how AI-assisted design, 3D modelling and web development can come together in one experience. We used ChatGPT with Astra/Codex, Blender and Three.js to turn visual references and a written brief into aircraft models, an illustrative cabin and an interactive website.

The experiment combines cinematic footage, day-and-night lighting, exploded views and a selectable comparison with a conventional passenger jet.

LUKAS’ TAKE

Five hours. From an idea to an interactive experience.

What impressed me most was watching ChatGPT work with Blender—seeing the aircraft take shape, then bringing those models into an interactive website.

Starting with an idea, reference images and a detailed prompt, I worked through around four rounds of revisions. We refined the aircraft, built the interface and added camera controls, interior views, an exploded-view slider and a comparison between the two designs.

It needed direction, feedback and repeated corrections. But seeing how much came together in roughly five hours was impressive.

There’s still room to improve the aircraft’s interior and exterior, but further refinement would require more time and additional AI credits. For this first experiment, I’m happy with the result. I’d rather take what I’ve learned into a new experiment and explore something different.
